The Ministry of Education recently launched the subject and promotional materials for the Entrepreneurship subject. This new subject will be introduced in all schools next year (2008) starting with Grade 5 and Grade 8.

In the Junior Secondary phase (grades 8-10), Entrepreneurship will be introduced as a subject to replace Business Management while entrepreneurial awareness will be incorporated in the subject content of the practical subjects in the Upper Primary phase (grades 5-7).

The introduction of the Entrepreneurship subject is part of the Education and Training Sector Improvement Programme (ETSIP) which amongst others, aims to prepare learners for the ‘outside world’ and equip learners with the necessary skills to start their own small and medium enterprises.
